MM Flowers is seeking a confident, experienced, and people-focused
Quality Manager
to lead quality operations across our multi-site production facilities in Alconbury, Chatteris, and Lincolnshire. As a senior member of our Technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring our products consistently meet the high standards expected by our customers, across both our Flowers and Plants divisions.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll manage quality teams across sites, build strong relationships with Operations and Procurement, and act as a technical point of contact for customers and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site Quality Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop Quality Supervisors and Auditors across three production sites
Champion a quality-first culture with clear expectations and proactive ownership
Ensure day-to-day quality checks and processes are consistent, effective, and aligned with standards
Audit & Compliance
Maintain full audit readiness for internal, customer, and third-party audits
Lead or support customer audits, ensuring accurate documentation and confident communication
Oversee internal audits, drive improvement actions, and monitor completion
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Be a key technical contact for customers on quality performance, audits, and complaint resolution
Present clear, data-backed insights and lead discussions on improvement opportunities
Partner with Operations, Procurement, and NPD teams to support quality delivery and new product planning
Quality Data & Continuous Improvement
Own and report on site quality KPIs, including complaint trends, material rejections, and product compliance
Analyse performance data to identify risks and lead corrective and preventive action plans
Ensure data accuracy across quality systems and support cross-site reporting consistency
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a Quality Manager or senior technical role within food, FMCG, produce, or horticulture
Demonstrated success managing teams and quality processes across multiple sites
Strong working knowledge of raw material and finished goods quality management
Experience with internal and customer audits and presenting to technical and commercial stakeholders
Confident leader with excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
Ability to travel between Alconbury, Chatteris, and Lincolnshire sites as needed
Desirable
Experience working with major UK retailers and their quality systems
Familiarity with flowers, plants, or perishable products
Understanding of complaint systems, traceability, and customer audit expectations
