Job Description

Overview

To take ownership of quality activities during New Product Introduction, ensuring that all customer, industry and regulatory requirements are met. The role will manage PPAP submissions, quality planning, customer approvals, and advanced metrology activities to enable the successful introduction of new parts and assemblies into production. Responsible to ensure the timely resolution of issues raised during the product development phase, assisting in product quality improvement activity and ensuring robust corrective actions are built in to the product/process.

Duties

Manage New Product Introduction activities for a suite of new parts, including PPAP submissions Oversee and perform advanced metrology activities, including FARO arm programming, dimensional analysis Liaison with Customer & Supplier representatives to ensure understanding of requirements / issues / standards Customer Liaison and co-ordination of requirements with sales, engineering, manufacturing, logistic, purchasing and accounts Observe and maintain quality standards as per work instructions / samples / QMS document control Support Coaching / Mentoring of personnel to assist in their on the job training and understanding Monitoring & ensuring customer complaints are dealt with in a timely manner Participation in any other activity that is required by the needs of the business where skills and training allow

Skills

Exercise substantial initiative/judgement in work methods and interpreting goals Knowledge of quality systems and measurement Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Lean Manufacturing knowledge Understanding of IATF requirements (VDA desirable) Understanding of engineering drawings Ability to present data effectively Good communication and interpersonal skills NVQ Level 5 Activities in an Automotive Context over a two year period would be Desirable

Pay: Up to 50,000.00 per year
