Working as part of an Assurance team of four, the post-holder will support the quality processes underpinning Scotland's National Qualifications Framework and work to maintain and improve its National Register of Qualifications, while contributing to improvements to the support we offer credit rating bodies across Scotland in new and innovative ways.
Roles and responsibilities
The post-holder will:
Commit to and contribute to delivery and reporting of SCQFP's strategic priorities.
Support the delivery and compliance of quality assurance processes related to Scotland's National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
Support the delivery, assurance and enhancement of college and university sector's credit rating activity as part of the Tertiary Quality Enhancement Review method and related external Quality activities.
Contribute to the ongoing maintenance, accuracy, and development of the National Register of Qualifications, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate effectively with the Assurance team and wider organisational colleagues to ensure consistent implementation of policies and best practice.
Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of data, intelligence and feedback to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
Contribute to internal projects and cross-functional initiatives that aim to enhance the integrity and relevance of Scotland's qualifications landscape.
Ensure effective information and document management?using platforms such as MS Teams and SharePoint to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing. Schedule, co-ordinate and monitor the effectiveness of a range of assurance workshops and webinars, and contribute to the development of e-learning resources for credit rating bodies, including post-workshop administration duties.
Support the management of the Assurance team's data sharing and its effective use of MS Teams channels and SharePoint.
Contribute to the objectives within the digital strategy and help develop new and efficient ways of working with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of the Quality Committee and other operational groups including minute taking and organisation of meetings where required.
Undertake other duties appropriate to the scope and grading of the post.
Person specification
This role would suit a person with SCQF Level 7 equivalent skills or experience.
Essential criteria
The post-holder will:

Be very competent in the use of MS Office packages and cloud-based storage solutions, including Word, Mail merge, Excel, SharePoint and MS Teams (or similar video communications platform).
Show developing analytical skills and the ability to assess evidence to provide conclusions for internal and external audiences.
Be an efficient time-keeper who enjoys multi-tasking.
Desirable competencies/experience
Familiarity with at least one aspect of Scotland's lifelong learning sector.
A basic understanding of quality assurance principles and processes.
Have an interest and commitment to harnessing AI in a responsible way for organisational benefit.
