In your role as the Quality Specialist you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality and safety standards of food products in compliance with regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
With a key focus on leading change, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, embedding a culture of quality excellence, and ensuring the successful implementation of evolving quality systems, practices, and technologies across the organization.
What
you'll be responsible for:
Owning and driving quality improvement projects, leading continuous improvement initiatives across the factory.
Partnering with operations to identify gaps and developing fit-for-purpose quality systems that improve efficiency and compliance.
Analysing customer complaints and quality data trends to uncover insights and drive targeted improvements.
Investigating and resolving serious food safety complaints, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Acting as a subject matter expert on food safety and quality, staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Providing day-to-day support in maintaining QMS and preparing for external food safety audits.
Acting as a key quality lead on site projects, including commissioning of new equipment, process changes, and HACCP updates.
What we are looking for in you:
Understanding of food safety principles, standards & management systems (HACCP, BRCGS, QMS).
Enthusiasm for food safety and quality with willingness to lead and support improvement projects.
Strong collaboration skills to work cross functionally in developing effective, compliant quality systems.
Analytical mindset for interpreting quality data, identifying trends and suggesting improvements.
Degree level education in food science or similar would be advantageous.
