Raytec are excited to be increasing our team with the addition of a Quality Technician.
Purpose of the Job:
Support the quality function by ensuring that products and processes meet internal and customer quality requirements.
Responsible for inspection, testing, and documentation activities throughout the production process, assisting with problem-solving, non-conformance investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and finished goods to defined drawings, specifications and standards.
Maintaining inspection records.
Assist with calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment ensuring traceability and validity of results in line with the Gauge Calibration Procedure.
Support in First Article Inspection and other sample approval activities.
Ensure correct use and maintenance of torque tools, fixtures and gauges.
Collecting and collating quality data, including daily line fail figures.
Escalating quality risks to management promptly and professionally.
Perform minor product rework within authorised limits, including minor paint touch-ups, surface cleaning and small cosmetic repairs.
Any other reasonable task as required to meet the needs of the business.
Essential:
Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Competent in using standard measuring equipment (vernier, micrometer, gauges, torque drivers).
Capable of performing controlled rework or cosmetic repair tasks to acceptance standards.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and documentation discipline.
Capable of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Effective communicator - able to interact confidently across all departments.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team with the ability to work under pressure.
Desirable:
Methodical, precise, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative. Good interpersonal communication.
High integrity and commitment to quality standards. Adaptable with a flexible and hands-on approach to problem solving and rework
