What you'll be doing:
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for investigating issues identified from internal warranty claims and customer in use quality issues, taking ownership of any issues identified, determining root cause, liaising with component and part suppliers to discuss engineering changes and improvements, and finding robust resolutions.
Key responsibilities:
Conducting visual inspections of components, assemblies, and finished goods.
Identify and document defects, deviations/concessions, or non-conformities.
Work closely with Production, Purchasing and Engineering teams.
Maintaining accurate inspection records and reports.
Collating weekly reports for presentation at Operations Meetings.
Ensuring compliance with internal and customer quality requirements.
Maintaining calibration dates of all metrology equipment
Being part of the internal audit team (9001, 14001 & 17025)
Skills and Requirements for this Quality Technician role:
Previous experience gained in a quality control or inspection role.
Comfortable in a customer facing role
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to identify visual defects.
Familiarity with basic measuring tools (e.g., callipers, gauges)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Previous experience in internal audits for either 9001, 14001 or 17025
Location:
You'll work at our site based at East Midlands Airport, in Castle Donington. However, we do offer the flexibility to work from home on Fridays, unless business needs require attendance on site.
