Reporting to the Quality Manager, your role will be varied and involve many aspects of the business. You will be responsible for supporting the management of the company's Quality Management System (QMS), including its processes, planning, work habits, and methods to drive excellence and ensure compliance across all quality systems and procedures.
Main Responsibilities for the role will include:
Participate in ISO 9001:2015 audits and support audit readiness across the business
You will be trained on the internal audit process and may conduct internal audits across other departments and functions
Support the Quality Manager in maintaining and updating the Quality Management System (QMS)
Ensure the Quality Manual reflects all necessary information relating to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and COP
Carry out 8D investigations and use 5Y methodology to resolve quality issues and identify corrective actions
Assist production teams in resolving quality concerns efficiently
Evaluate non-conformances, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and maintain the non-conformance register
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure compliance with Quality Control Procedures
Provide KPI data and supplier quality reports to the Quality Manager
Liaise with suppliers, support supplier visits, and participate in supplier audits
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality areas

Ability to work independently, set personal goals, and align with company objectives
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including use of graphs and data trending), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills
Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
Trained in auditing with excellent working knowledge of ISO 9001
Solid background in manufacturing or engineering, particularly in quality-related functions
Hands-on experience with non-conformity management and root cause analysis
Comfortable interpreting data and reporting quality metrics
Preferred:
Background in light manufacturing and/or automotive industry
Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent
Qualifications & Skill Set Requirements
Minimum: BTEC Level 3 in Engineering, BEng, or equivalent qualification
Previous experience in the automotive or engineering sectors
Proficiency with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949
Strong IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
