About 2Agriculture
2Agriculture is an independent milling business which has been supplying feed to the poultry industry for the past 50 plus years.
The business operates five monogastric feed mills across the UK in Scotland, East Anglia, Linc's and North Wales manufacturing top quality finished feeds. The comprehensive feed range includes broiler, broiler breeder, layer, duck and turkey feed formulated using the highest quality raw materials. We also operate our own extrusion plant in Cambridgeshire, manufacturing a quality ingredient used in our poultry diets.
Our technical team have extensive experience in poultry production and formulate diets to deliver results working in partnership with poultry farmers and managers to help meet the production targets for each crop.
Service is at the heart of the team at 2Agriculture where over 250 employees work across the six sites. Our feed mills operate to the highest standards set for product quality, with a specialist production team monitoring output ensuring zero or minimal mill downtime. Our fleet of over 50 lorries operate 24/7 ensuring feed arrives on time and in full, with a real focus on biosecurity prior to delivery, on-site and during departure.
2Agriculture aim to be the UK's most efficient producer of consistent, high-quality feed and to support our farming partners achieve best cost production.
Role Profile
The Quality Technician supports the Quality and Operations teams to ensure the highest standards of feed safety, quality, and compliance while helping deliver business objectives. This role focuses on maintaining quality and audit standards across the manufacturing process and addressing any non-conformances.
Day-to-day, you will monitor adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions, providing clear guidance when needed.
The role involves carrying out sampling and analysis of raw materials, finished feed, and environmental samples, monitoring quality control points, carrying out GMP audits, and supporting hygiene and pest management. You will contribute to data analysis, assist with HACCP activities, and support training on hygiene and quality as required. Supporting feed safety KPIs, third-party audits, and continuous improvement initiatives are also key aspects of the position.
This is a hands-on role combining plant and office work, offering an opportunity to be involved in all stages of feed production.
Essential Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, the desired candidate should preferably hold strong experience within a team-based manufacturing or production environment, working proactively with strict safety and quality control procedures and KPI's.
This job would suit a hands-on team player with a high attention to detail. We are looking for a confident, organised, and approachable individual with focus on process improvement and problem solving to work as part of a multi-functional team.
Knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft office is required alongside an ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Relevant agricultural or science qualifications such as a HACCP will be advantageous, however, we encourage applications from all interested parties as training will be provided.
