Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial resources are effectively allocated and utilised throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project managers. The successful candidate's role will extend beyond Quantity Surveying and they will manage a portfolio of projects, and also assist with overall project coordination and planning.

Duties



Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost control measures to prevent overspending. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project specifications and costs. Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors to ensure competitive pricing. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide regular reports on project financial status to management and stakeholders. Assist in dispute resolution regarding costs and contractual obligations. Be the point of contact to the client for their project and deal with any issues that arise swiftly.

Skills



Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices within the construction industry. Experience in residential and commercial construction Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools for cost estimation and management. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about construction management and are eager to contribute their expertise within a collaborative environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
