Where will you be working?





You will be joining our M&E team as a Quantity Surveyor working on a section of works on Hinkley Point C.

Located on the scenic north Somerset coast. It this the first nuclear power station built in a generation, featuring the advanced EPR reactor design also used for Sizewell C.

What will you be doing?





You'll prepare and manage tender documents, contracts, and other crucial documentation for the project.



We'll ask you to monitor costs, track expenses, and adjust budget projections as needed to keep the project within its financial limits.



You'll measure and value the work completed on-site and oversee payments to subcontractors.



Identifing potential financial and commercial risks associated with the project and advise on how to mitigate them.



We'll ask you to help mediate and resolve disputes that arise between parties involved in the project.



You'll ensure that the project meets necessary legal requirements, technical standards, and quality standards, which also helps to ensure safety.


What you'll bring




Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, negotiation abilities, and proficiency with construction software A bachelor's degree (BSc) in quantity surveying or a related field like construction, structural engineering, civil engineering The ability to negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders is key to managing costs and securing favourable terms Proficiency in techniques for estimating costs, managing budgets, and handling financial documentation is a core requirement. Experience working on Cabling projects is advantageous NEC3/4 contract experience
