Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Pub Fit-Out Projects

Location: UK-wide travel (base location negotiable)

Salary: Up to 45,000 per year (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team, focusing on pub, bar, and hospitality fit-out projects across the UK. In this role, you will oversee all financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects--from initial cost estimation to final accounts--ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and the highest quality standards. This is a field-based position that requires regular travel to sites nationwide, so a full UK driving license and a flexible travel approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all commercial and contractual components of fit-out projects

- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts

- Conduct site measurements, valuations, and progress evaluations

- Handle inquiries, quotations, and orders from subcontractors

- Assess and process variations and change orders

- Produce accurate monthly cost reports and financial forecasts

- Collaborate closely with project managers and site teams to maintain financial oversight

- Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings

- Assist in the tendering and pricing of new projects and opportunities

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the fit-out or refurbishment sector, preferably within pub, bar, or hospitality settings

- Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes

- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail

- Confident communication and negotiation skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software (e.g., Excel, CostX)

- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the country

Desirable Qualifications

- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field

- Experience with a fit-out contractor or specialist interiors company

- RICS membership (or currently pursuing accreditation)
