Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Dyson Construction is seeking a capable and motivated Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the commercial operations of a well-established SME.

This is a predominantly office-based role, with regular site visits required. The position is based out of our Brixham office and offers a varied workload across a wide range of projects. Our work spans from bespoke residential extensions to substantial packages on large-scale developments, with project values ranging from 35,000 to 1.5 million.

This role would suit a Project/Senior QS looking to transition into a broader commercial management position. You will be involved in all aspects of the business, from tendering and procurement through to final accounts and strategic oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Measurement and production of Bills of Quantities to support tender submissions Negotiation and agreement of contract terms Preparation of client applications and invoicing via Xero Management of subcontractor procurement and performance Attendance at site, progress, and labour meetings Ongoing cost tracking and financial reporting to the Managing Director Procurement of materials and labour as required Management of variations and pricing of additional works Accurate measurement from drawings and cost control Confident use of Microsoft Excel for financial and project tracking
