To assist in the delivery and governance of commercial services to the Term Services Plymouth Contract in a manner that achieves both value for money for our client and sustainable shareholder value consistent with the contract, tender and agreed processes in the spirit of mutual trust and co-operation. Ensure excellence and best practice in the support of the commercial elements of the contract and ensuring excellence in the engagement and management of the supply chain, contract management and governance. To ensure the recording of subcontract liabilities onto SAP and to assist the timely production of claims for payment over Mayrise. To achieve RIS Business Plan Objectives.
Duties
Processing of costs on Papyrus and SAP.
Identification and management of early warning and compensation events
Processing of Subcontractor liabilities
Processing of Subcontractor applications for payment
Manage all commercial aspects of the depot/work stream you are responsible for
Ensure accurate and timely commercial claims are made through Mayrise
Support the timely payment of accounts through management of the claims process and control of rejected claims.
Ensure all scheme Defined Costs are captured in accordance with the Contract.
Making sure accurate records are maintained and supplied to the client
Provide commercial information to operations including the review of monthly CVR reports with Operational Managers
Carry out duties in line with all Company Procedures and Policies
Ensure all work is carried out to correct specification / standard
Use Action Reporting Procedure to plan and implement continuous improvements
All work and operations to meet criteria of Environmental Policies
To work in-line with the European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM) Model
Manage and promote the Groups IMS Processes "The Way We Work"
To actively foster a positive staff morale
Willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of the management team.
Person Specification
An accredited Quantity Surveying course by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Understanding of cost management systems and ability to learn the Papyrus and SAP cost management systems.
A brief understanding of Term Maintenance Contracts and their application under the NEC terms and conditions.
Previous experience of actual cost contracts would be beneficial.
An understanding of the principles of measurement within the Highways Maintenance environment
Previous experience of Mayrise systems would be beneficial
