Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and financial management related to building projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of projects by ensuring budgets are maintained and costs are optimised throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities



Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets. Conduct regular cost analysis and provide reports on financial status to project managers. Manage procurement processes, including tendering, negotiations, and contract administration. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure clear communication regarding costs and contractual obligations. Identify potential cost overruns early and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. Assist in value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising quality or safety.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong expertise in cost control, budgeting, and financial management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent programmes. Good understanding of construction processes, contracts, and legal aspects related to procurement and procurement law. Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients, contractors, and team members. Relevant qualification such as a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is preferred.
