We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee all commercial aspects of a significant development of a Mill in Manchester. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing costs, valuations, procurement, subcontractor payments, and ensuring financial efficiency across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
Handle subcontractor procurement and tender analysis
Ensure accuracy in project forecasting and reporting
Manage variations, payment notices, and dispute resolution
Work closely with the project and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are met
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar commercial or quantity surveying role
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. JCT)
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Relevant qualifications (e.g. BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar)
Desirable:
Experience working on mill conversions or heritage projects
Chartered status (RICS/CIOB)
