Quantity Surveyor

based in either their Belfast or Cookstown office.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse construction drawings and specifications to determine labour, material, and specialist requirements Prepare enquiry documents, obtain and negotiate material and subcontractor quotations Maintain budgetary control through regular supplier and subcontractor negotiations Complete monthly subcontractor valuations and final accounts Submit monthly valuations to PQS and accurately record all additional works Liaise with clients to agree variations, rates, and provide detailed cost analysis Measure works against contract-specific schedules of rates Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts to deadlines Work closely with management and accounts teams to deliver strong financial outcomes Provide accurate monthly cost and progress reports for internal and client meetings Attend and contribute to regular site progress meetings

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (HND/HNC or significant experience also considered) At least 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator role within a main contracting environment Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Project)
