You're confident in cost planning, tendering, and contract negotiation.
You understand construction processes and can communicate effectively with both site teams and clients.
You're proactive, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You take ownership of your work and see the bigger picture -- not just numbers, but value and relationships.
You have at least
5-7 years of experience
as a
Quantity Surveyor or Contract Manager
in the
UK construction industry (preferably residential or mixed-use projects).
What You'll Be Doing
Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and cost plans.
Oversee tendering and procurement, ensuring competitive and transparent supplier selection.
Manage and value subcontractor accounts, variations, and progress claims.
Negotiate and administer contracts in line with UK regulations and company standards.
Provide accurate monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
Identify risks, opportunities, and commercial strategies to optimise project performance.
Liaise with site teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
Support continuous improvement of internal commercial systems and contribute ideas for efficiency -- including digital and AI tools.
