Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.


This role will be within our demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing?

As our Quantity Surveyor you'll be working on our Thames Water Metering contract based out of Dartford, Langley or Esher offices.

You'll be responsible for effective procurement and management of subcontractors, from agreement of terms and conditions, risk attribution and scope through to Final Account.



You'll manage and mentor Assistant Quantity Surveyors and other junior members of the team in carrying out the administration of the commercial and financial aspects of the contract.
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the operational team. Administering the bespoke Principal Contract.

You'll manage change through the Early Warning and Variation processes with both the Client and subcontractors alike to achieve value and margin maximisation.
You'll produce CVRs, applications for payment and Cost Forecasts.
You'll closely monitor staff, material, plant and other resources on site.
You'll seek out opportunities and challenging practices, planning and approaches where cost savings are identified.

What you'll bring

+ Do you have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification?
+ Have you gained experience as a Quantity Surveyor, or a similar level within a civil engineering or utilities contractor?
+ Are you commercially astute?
+ Do you want to be part of a vibrant team delivering one of the largest Projects awarded to MWS on AMP 8?
