Quantity Surveyor

on the HS2 Projects and you'll deliver complex work


that really matters to our business and become involved in some of the biggest


infrastructure projects in the industry.



The role requires weekly meetings in Derby & Warrington with visits required to Birmingham once a month for Project Reviews, flexibility for working location for remainder of the working week.

What you'll be doing



Quantity Surveyor to be part of the Commercial Team delivering individual

packages within the HS2 Power project.
Collate costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying

commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works.
Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for

money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for


our customers.
Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external

stakeholders.
Contract administration with both client and subcontractors. Provide support and adherence for the Gated Business Lifecycle processes. Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional

certification.



Who we're looking for



An organised, self-motivated Quantity Surveyor with knowledge and

experience of working on Projects and Portfolio's.
Skilled in commercial awareness, Client liaison, project management.

Understanding of the construction industry, flexibility, and a talent for


negotiation.
Demonstration of working to deadlines, teamwork, working independently,

efficiently and to a high standard.
Excellent communication skills with all internal and external stakeholders. Keen interest and experience in infrastructure projects. Experience working on NEC Contracts or similar. BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent. Working towards Chartered Member or the RICS, ICES or CIOB is preferred

but not essential.
