We\'re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Regional Civil Engineering Southwest team. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work independently managing specific areas of the project. The candidate will have overall day-to-day commercial responsibility for the delivery of the works from inception to completion. This includes subcontract management, VCR management, change control, forecasting, final accounting. The candidate will be supported by the wider team including Senior QS, MQS and the Commercial Manager.

Your day-to-day will contain:

  • Prepare Monthly and final applications for payment.
  • Placing and subsequent financial management of sub-contract agreements.
  • Provide assistance, guidance and support to the operational teams in the areas of: Contract Compliance, the financial impact of decisions; Value maximisation/cost saving techniques; Procurement strategy
  • Accurately monitor, forecast and report project cost and value.
  • Ensure all contractual notifications are correctly in place.
What do we need from you?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
  • You have experience on NEC contracts with Target Costs
  • You have experience within the construction or civils industry
  • You have excellent IT skills including the use of the Microsoft business suite
  • You have experience of Oracle and Causeway accounting systems
  • You have experience of framework civils/utilities contracts
