Job Description

Bennett and Game are seeking a Quantity Surveyor for our client based in Glasgow. They are leading providers in the UK of complex civil engineering projects and delivery of turnkey telecommunications infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the telecommunications sector. The successful candidate will be joining a company that is in its growth stages of it development and have the opportunity to progress and develop with the company.

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

• Prepare the tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, with the architect and the client.
• Engage existing supply chain.
• Select subcontractors, agree the scope of services and allocate work.
• Monitor and control costs throughout the project.
• Identify risks surrounding the project and the likelihood of cost variation.
• Track any changes to the design or actual work and adjust budget projections.
• Value completed work and arrange payments to subcontractors.
• Analyse progress and write detailed reports.
• Liaise between site managers, project managers, site engineers and the client.
• Prepare summary reports for the client and other relevant stakeholders.
• Run cost analyses for ongoing repair and maintenance work.
• Advise on any outstanding contractual claims remaining.

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

• UK driving license
• Quantity Surveying Degree
• 5 years post qualification experience in construction industry
• Excellent communication skills at all levels both internally and externally
• IT proficiency in common Microsoft applications

Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

• Salary: \xc2\xa340k - \xc2\xa345k
• Full Time - Perm
• Holiday: 28\'s holiday inc BH
• Pension: 5% employer 3% employee
