Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective. Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgets. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to provide accurate financial information throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare tender documents and assist in the evaluation of bids from contractors. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide advice on contractual matters and assist in dispute resolution when necessary. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in relevant software applications for cost estimation and project management. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Pay: Up to 63,133.70 per year
