Overview

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with construction experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial aspects are carefully controlled throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to provide accurate cost assessments and forecasts.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial plans. Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate pricing and cost control measures are in place. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes as necessary. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant software tools for cost estimation and project management. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
