Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing Refurbishment

Location:

Grimsby or Boston (with travel across Northern contracts)

Contract:

Permanent, Full-time | Hybrid: 2 days remote per week

We're growing -- and we're looking for a driven Quantity Surveyor (or Senior QS) to join our Northern Projects Division. This is your chance to play a key role in our commercial management team, supporting major refurbishment projects and ensuring contracts deliver maximum value.

The Role

Manage commercial performance on refurbishment contracts. Secure full entitlement on projects and safeguard cash flow. Prepare accurate forecasts, budgets, and financial reports. Support contract negotiations and resolve client queries. Oversee subcontractor management and supplier onboarding. Spot risks early, resolve disputes, and keep projects on track.
About You

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or refurbishment. Industry-related qualification + strong contractual awareness. High-level Excel skills (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, formulas). Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel. Preferred: experience in social housing refurbishment.

Desirable:

knowledge of contract law, accountancy qualifications (or working towards), and experience handling complex multi-disciplinary contracts.
