Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

with a strong background in

groundworks, piling, and reinforced concrete (RC) frames

. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of estimating, tendering, and cost control processes, with the ability to manage projects from tender stage through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate tenders and cost estimates for groundworks, piling, and RC frame projects Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents Prepare bills of quantities and take-offs Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors Assist with project valuations, variations, and final accounts Work closely with site teams to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with budgets Provide cost reports and financial updates to management

Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry Strong knowledge of groundworks, piling, and RC frame methodologies Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway, Conquest, or Excel-based systems) Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills Full UK driving licence
