Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

My client is a long-established, family-run residential developer with a reputation for quality and a dedication to building quality homes across the Midlands. Due to an increase in key projects, the company is now looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team to support a variety of residential developments based locally. You will be instrumental in managing costs and securing the financial success of projects.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for:

Managing all cost aspects of residential developments from inception through to final account. Preparing budgets, cost plans, and valuations using Excel and internal systems. Working closely with the construction and site teams to monitor project costs and progress. Procuring and managing subcontractor packages, including preparing tender documents and contracts. Assessing variations, valuations, and final accounts in a timely and accurate manner. Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation for each project.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

Ideally qualified in Quantity surveying or relevant field. Proven experience within the residential housing sector Strong commercial awareness and a good understand of budget management. The ability to work collaboratively within a small team and communicate clearly to stakeholders Excellent communication and networking skills Good IT skills and proficient with Excel and Word Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively Full UK Driving license and willingness to visit sites within 30-50-minute drive of the office
