Quantity Surveyor
for their offices in
London, England

Antrim, Northern Ireland
. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven professional to play a key role in managing project costs, contracts, and commercial performance across a dynamic and fast-paced construction and fit-out environment.
If you bring strong surveying experience, excellent commercial acumen, and a solid understanding of JCT/NEC contracts, this role offers a clear path for progression and tangible impact within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Commercial Support:
Take off quantities for tendering purposes and assist in tender preparations.
Prepare and manage material procurement and subcontractor appointments.
Produce cost plans, bills of quantities, and financial projections.
Oversee measures and report on cost variances.
Track and assess design changes and variations.
Prepare and submit accurate financial updates and monthly CVRs.
Lead on value engineering and commercial risk mitigation.
Contract & Financial Management:
Manage subcontractor procurement under designated terms.
Administer and negotiate JCT/NEC contracts, including claims and disputes.
Monitor interim valuations and support final account settlements.
Advise management on contractual obligations and commercial strategy.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with commercial standards.
Internal & External Collaboration:
Liaise with internal teams across design, operations, and finance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Ensure commercial agreements are clearly documented and contractually sound.
Must-Have Requirements
Proven Quantity Surveying experience in the construction/fit-out sector.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Office.
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and construction practices.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
Experience in fire protection or mechanical systems.
Background in writing PQQs, bid and tender submissions.
Familiarity with e-tendering platforms.
