Job description
Quantity Surveyor
Our client, a prominent player in the power utilities and construction sectors, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in a permanent capacity. The role is integral to ensuring the successful delivery of utilities projects, underpinning the financial and contractual management of various endeavours.
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying duties
• Preparing and presenting cost reports and financial summaries
• Negotiating contracts and terms with clients and subcontractors
• Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
• Liaising with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate cost control
• Monitoring project progress and reporting any variations or discrepancies
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of quantity surveying practices

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in quantity surveying, particularly within the power utilities or construction sectors
• NEC Contract experience
• Strong understanding of cost management and contract administration
• Proficiency in using relevant surveying software and tools
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Professional membership or certification is an advantage
