Are you an ambitious and committed Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting hybrid-working opportunity to contribute to a major road improvement scheme and progress within the role?

My client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their specialist VRS installation team within the catchment area of Slough.

They are a market leading specialist highways maintenance company operating throughout the country and are continuing to grow as a business with new innovative approaches to their projects year on year.

The Quantity Surveyor role will consist of:
\xc2\xb7Regular site visits as the project progresses
\xc2\xb7Liaising with senior members of the site delivery and commercial teams to ensure the project is delivered smoothly and on time
\xc2\xb7Monitor contract costs and report financial performance back to site managers on a monthly basis
\xc2\xb7Communication with the accounts department to track client payments
\xc2\xb7Use existing industry knowledge to provide support and guidance within the team
\xc2\xb7Continuous opportunities for self-development with training given on bespoke software and regular encouragement to evaluate own strengths and limitations within the role
\xc2\xb7Progression opportunities available for the right candidate

To be considered, candidates should have:
\xc2\xb7Working knowledge of NEC3, NEC4, CECA and other Forms of Contract
\xc2\xb7CSCS Card
\xc2\xb7Commercial qualifications and experience of the construction industry
\xc2\xb7Microsoft Office literate
\xc2\xb7Full driving license and access to own transport
\xc2\xb7Attributes of a self-starter and team player
\xc2\xb7Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
\xc2\xb7Concise communication skills
\xc2\xb7Excellent commercial awareness
\xc2\xb7Confident presentation skills
\xc2\xb7The ability to negotiate and work under pressure
\xc2\xb7A desire to work within a role offering autonomy
