We are now looking for a highly capable and detail-driven Contracts Administrator to join our growing commercial team.
The Opportunity
As a Scaffolding Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of our access and scaffolding projects. Working alongside the Commercial Manager and Project Teams, you will ensure accurate cost control, financial reporting, and risk management from tender to final account. What You'll Do
Commercial & Financial Management
Prepare accurate cost estimates, pricing schedules, and tender submissions.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost-value reconciliations (CVRs).
Identify and assess variations, claims, and changes in scope.
Measure and value works on-site in accordance with project progress.
Prepare interim and final applications for payment and follow up on approvals.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to manage project costs and contractual obligations.
Contract Administration
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of subcontractor agreements.
Maintain accurate contract documentation and change control records.
Support dispute resolution processes and ensure commercial risks are identified early.
Ensure all work complies with contractual, legal, and health and safety obligations.
Contract Administration
Provide high-level administrative support to the Operations and Commercial teams.
Organise and minute meetings, ensuring action items are captured and followed up.
Maintain structured filing systems for both hard copy and digital documentation.
Coordinate office activities including diary management, travel bookings, and resource planning.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Coordinate business hospitality and event ticket distribution.
Ensure compliance with internal systems including the Athena system, ISO documentation, and company policies.
Client & Team Collaboration
Work closely with Operations, Estimating, and Site Teams to ensure commercial alignment.
Attend client meetings, site visits, and commercial reviews as required.
Support the development of junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
About You
Experience & Skills
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within scaffolding, access, or temporary works.
Strong working knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and commercial best practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and negotiate effectively.
High-level Excel proficiency and experience with construction software tools (e.g., COINS, Causeway, Trimble, or similar).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Education & Training
Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction (or equivalent).
Membership of RICS or other relevant professional body is advantageous.
Valid UK driving licence (site visits may be required).
