Quantity Surveyor

Job Role

To assist in the delivery and governance of commercial services to the Highways Maintenance and Projects Framework in a manner that achieves both value for money for our client and sustainable shareholder value consistent with the contract, tender and agreed processes in the spirit of mutual trust and co-operation.





Duties

Pricing of works in accordance with the contract using the Schedule of Rates Management of Early Warnings, Compensation Events and associated quotations Processing of cost and value in Causeway, Kheops Management of supply chain partners Prepare subcontract documentation and procure subcontract packages Assessment and processing of subcontractor payments and liabilities Provide advice on contractual matters Management of Defined Cost and pain/gain trackers Representing Ringway in client and supply chain meetings Manage and promote the Group's IMS processes "The Way We Work" To actively foster a positive staff morale To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management


Person Specification

Have 4+ years construction industry experience (ideally with experience of working the highways sector) Have experience of managing valuations, applications for payments and variations for supply chain partners. Be experienced in the use of standard methods of measurement (experience of MMHW would be advantageous), rates, build up and cost control Experience of working on an NEC form of contract would be ideal Have experience of using Excel to analyse data. Be able to work independently Experience of supporting and developing junior team members.

Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
