Job Description

Premier Forecourts and Construction provides specialist construction services for fuel forecourt projects, electrical vehicle (EV) charging installations, public sector, retail and commercial projects. Our extensive experience on varied construction projects means we can provide unique services including project management, installation, maintenance, servicing, refurbishment, rebranding, design planning, and surfacing works, our clients include some of the most recognised blue-chip companies in the UK.

Working in our Commercial Office in a Team of five, this QS role will be full-time office based with occasional site visits throughout the UK

In addition to holding a BSC in Quantity Surveying, you will require at least two years of building and civils experiernce.

Compensation ranges from 45k up to 65K including benefits (Total Compensation) and dependant on the number of years experience in the same or similar role.

What we'll be asking you to do...



As a Quantity Surveyor with Premier Forecourts and Construction you will report to the Head of Commercial and you will be responsible for delivering several jobs at any one time, liaising with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals.

Estimating for small schemes

Submitting monthly valuations

Negotiating Final Accounts

Compile Cost Value Reports (CVR) updates, budgets and enquiries

Responsible for controlling and updating Project Enquiry (P&E) Log

Identification and submitting of fully built up variations

Conduct financial checks on completed projects and check compliance with Premier policies and procedures

Developing effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and members of the Maintenance and Contracts team

Commercial reporting

Responsible for achieving set individual and department Key Performance Indicators(KPI's)

Mentoring of two Assistant Quantity Surveyors

What we would like from you...



Degree in Quantity Surveying

Two years or more post qualification experience of building and civils

Demonstrated knowledge of constructions and civil engineering principles

Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate and control costs

Strong communication and organisational skills

Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office 365 packages and a developed understanding of construction industry software packages, in particular we use;

o Evaluate

o Sage Construct

o Procure

A team-oriented individual that contributes at an operational level

Supports the business in delivering its Vision, Mission, and Premier Values

A full-time permanent contract (40 hours per week)
