About the role



As a Quantity Surveyor you will be supporting other more senior members of the commercial team in delivering varied commercial duties as well as being responsible for procuring and managing our supply chain.



This position can be situated out of either our Swindon or Exeter offices.

What you'll be doing



Adhering to the Company's GMCEs, BMS and other governance



Orders information and systematically checks data



Cost Engineering & Estimating



Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures



Measure & interpret specifications & drawings



Build up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimates



Translate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates Planning



Review weekly, monthly, section programmes of works



Plan commercial activities to meet requirements of section programmes

Who we're looking for



Holds a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience



Ideally has experience of working within the Civil Engineering Sector



Previous Commercial Work experience (beneficial)



Ideally working towards a professional membership from the RICS, ICES or CIOB



Awareness of CESMM 4 (Civil Engineering Method of Measurement) - beneficial
