Job Description

Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to control the commercial functions within the IUS business. The successful candidate will support the business and take responsibility for the end-to-end commercial process for multiple projects across our workstreams; further enhance the business' commercial strength and margins by improving commercial reporting accuracy, cash flow, reducing risk in change control and WIP.

Key Responsibilities:



Commercial reporting including forecasting and wider project performance

Work alongside operational team to produce accurate End Life Forecasts

Manage client interface

Risk management including change control and WIP management

Contract Administration

Provision of contractual advice to the project delivery team

Aid in subcontract procurement and placement, ensuring best value for money and lowest risk achieved at all times

Payment and debt management

Post project appraisals and feedback loop to Tendering & Estimating team

Attend internal and external (Client) meetings

Final account compilation / submission

Qualifications & Experience:



HNC or above in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is essential

Experience in the construction industry is essential

Experience with scheme finance and commercial management is essential

Ability to understand and respond to contract issues

MRICS or MCIOB is desirable

Experience in the civil engineering / utility construction industry with a complete understanding of gas, water and electric distribution infrastructures is desirable

Contractual knowledge - NEC knowledge is desirable

Excellent IT skills - with heavy focus on excel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 43,667.00-60,212.00 per year
