Full-Time (Monday - Friday)



45 - 50K per annum + package

Job Summary



We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with expertise in the commercial and industrial sectors. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, managing project costs, overseeing procurement, and handling contract administration.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare accurate cost estimates from tender to completion, including BOQs and quantity take-offs. Analyse project documentation, monitor budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Oversee the procurement process, including preparing tender documents, selecting contractors, and negotiating contracts. Source materials, equipment, subcontractors, and services while building strong relationships and negotiating favourable terms. Ensure contract compliance, manage variations, claims, and resolve disputes. Advise on contract performance while fostering strong stakeholder relationships. Identify and mitigate financial risks and implement value engineering strategies. Deliver regular financial reports detailing project costs, forecasts, and variances. Maintain accurate project records, including BOQs, cost reports, and final accounts. Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to align project goals and deliverables.

Requirements



Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying. Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in commercial and industrial sectors. Membership in a recognised professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of cost management software (e.g., CostX, Asta Project, Primavera) is a plus. Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with contract law (JCT, NEC3, NEC4). Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites if required.
