East Rudland Construction Ltd are a Civil Engineering & Ground works Contractor. Delivering projects in the Yorkshire and Humberside Regions. We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join us. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Ground works and Civil Engineering. They must have a good understanding of cost control and be adept at managing project finances from inception to completion. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Duties
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labour, Plant and overheads.
Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of new projects.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on financial performance.
Implement effective cost control measures to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
Measure and value works carried out on site with absolute perfection and detail.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures.
Produce and submit applications for payment.
Collaborate with the Directors to ensure financial targets are met.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost implications.
Prepare reports on project costs and forecasts.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate project specifications.
Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors.
Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor specific to the groundworks and civils sector
Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of cost control methodologies and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite Auto Cad etc.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
