Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial aspects of construction projects are accurately estimated and controlled. This position requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities



Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure budget compliance. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to provide accurate financial advice throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare tender documents and analyse bids from contractors to ensure competitive pricing. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide regular reports on project costs and forecasts to senior management. Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.

Skills



Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management are preferred.
