We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial and contractual obligations are met throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control methods and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost control measures as necessary. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost assessments and adherence to budgets. Prepare tender documents and assist in the evaluation of bids from contractors. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide regular reports on project costs and financial forecasts to management. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best possible terms.

Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial management principles. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
