Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, practical and hard working Quarry Operative to join our team based in our Tan y Foel Quarry (SY21 0AN). The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and ideally have experience in operating large mobile plant (360 Excavators , Articulated Dump trucks or Farm machinery) this is desirable but not a necessity as we are willing to train the right applicant. This role requires a valid commercial driving licence.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all Quarry rules and regulations. Assist with maintenance and house keeping of machinery. Maintain inspection records. Communicate effectively with other members of the team. Follow all company policies regarding health & safety regulations.

Skills

Proven experience as a machine operator (Tickets showing competence desirable even if expired but not a necessity.) Strong understanding of working safely within the work place. Excellent time management skills. Ability to perform basic machine maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and managers. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety .
