Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Quarry Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate must have some experience with driving large mobile plant and will play a crucial role in supporting various operational tasks, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our daily activities. This position requires practical skills, including mechanical knowledge and heavy plant operating capabilities, to contribute positively to our work environment.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a current MPQC / CPCS skills card; however. training and development will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the necessary skills and aptitude to take on this challenging role.

This position would be ideal for an individual who is looking for long-term stability and opportunities for development.

Responsibilities



Assist in the day-to-day operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Operate company vehicles as required, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines for large plant operations. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and machinery, utilising mechanical knowledge to identify and resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to support project completion and enhance overall productivity. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, promoting a safe working environment for all staff. Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Key Duties to Include:



Excavator, ADT and Loading operations

Fixed process plant operations and maintenance.

General site maintenance.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a similar role with experience of the following: Quarry Process Operator, Heavy Plant, MPQC Driver Skills card, EPIC. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Valid driving licence is required; candidates must be comfortable operating vehicles as part of their duties. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work well within a team. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively.

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
