Quilting & Sewing Content Producer

About The Quilted Bear

We're a successful quilting and sewing business, growing our direct-to-consumer presence. We're looking for a skilled quilter/sewer who can create engaging tutorial content and product demonstrations for our audience.

What You'll Do

You'll demonstrate quilting and sewing techniques on camera, create tutorial videos, and produce helpful content that connects with fellow crafters. You'll work primarily from home, filming yourself as you work on projects and explaining techniques in a clear, approachable way.

Content Creation

Demonstrate quilting and sewing techniques on camera using Quilted Bear products Create tutorial videos showing how to use our tools and complete projects (from quick tips to full projects) Film yourself working on projects--we're looking for authentic, helpful content, not Hollywood production Take clear step-by-step photos of your process Write simple, easy-to-follow instructions for projects and techniques Do basic video editing on your phone (trimming, text overlays, simple transitions)

Product Development & Collaboration

Test our products and provide honest feedback for product development Work with our Brand Marketing Specialist to develop content that fits our strategy Keep an eye on marketplace trends, industry leaders, and social influences, bringing fresh ideas to our content

Product Demonstration

Represent The Quilted Bear at trade shows as a demonstrator of our products and potentially on TV shopping channels

What You'll Create

Videos of varying lengths (some quick tips, some full projects, with and without narration) Still image content Step-by-step photo sets for projects Written instructions and how-to guides Product demonstration content - video and images Content appropriate for social media, YouTube, email, and our website

Who We're Looking For

Strong quilting and sewing skills, including hand quilting, with the ability to tackle a range of techniques and skill levels Always learning and growing--whether it's new tools, patterns, crafts, or techniques Comfortable teaching and breaking down complex techniques into simple steps Natural on camera--authentic and clear, not performative Able to work independently - film yourself at home, manage your own schedule, write clear instructions Basic video editing skills - trim clips, add text and music, simple transitions Creative and practical--can develop project ideas that showcase our products and engage a wide audience with different experience levels

Nice to Have:

Experience teaching quilting/sewing (classes, workshops, or even just helping friends) Active in quilting guilds or sewing communities Already creating content for your own social media

What We Offer

27,000-30,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience Full-time with flexible working schedule 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) Work primarily from home Access to all our quilting and sewing tools and products Creative freedom to develop projects and tutorials Opportunity to represent The Quilted Bear at trade shows Potential to appear on TV shopping channels

Important to Know

You'll work closely with our Brand Marketing Specialist, who handles the strategy, publishing, and social media management. You focus on what you do best: demonstrating techniques and creating helpful tutorials.

You will be expected to spend at least two days a month in our office, located in Clevedon, near Bristol.

You will attend several trade shows around the country with our team each year. Trade shows typically last 3-4 days and include weekends, and all work-related expenses will be paid for.
