Your new role:
Southend-on-Sea City Council have an exciting new opportunity for Community Safety Officer x2. The Community Safety Unit are led by a Community Safety Manager, and comprise of a team of Community Safety Officers who are responsible for tackling crime, anti-social behaviour and town centre issues across the City in partnership with police and other agencies.
This role is on offer on a permanent contract, working 5 days a week on a shift basis (including weekends and evenings). The Unit will be based at Southend Police Station and other satellite locations, but the majority of this role will be actively out in the community. The team is pivotal to the work of the Southend Community Safety Partnership (CSP) and the Council is seeking individuals who will undertake a range of community safety and enforcement work in respect of crime and disorder, anti-social behaviour, safety of the City and building community cohesion, as part of the overall CSP and Council objectives.
