Wolfson School of Mechanical Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering
Part time (20 hours), fixed term for 12 months
An EPSRC funded National Facility for High Resolution Cathodoluminescence (CL) of Photovoltaic and Optoelectronic Devices has been established at Loughborough University.
This is a world-leading facility with new capability to probe optoelectronic performance and relate it to atomic level microstructure and composition.
The role is to establish ways to extract quantitative measurements such as surface recombination velocities and IQE from CL images. Features such as grain boundaries, twin boundaries and p-n junction interfaces are of particular interest.
Loughborough University is committed to achieving equality and valuing diversity in all aspects of employment and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
