We are looking for a dynamic Radio Station Manager to lead the operations and steer the creative direction of a new community radio station, serving and reflecting the voices of the University of Westminster.
We are looking for an experienced radio professional - with a strong track record in live broadcasting, programming, and community engagement. You will be as confident with the technical aspects of running a radio station as you are with curating engaging content, scheduling shows, and supporting presenters and volunteers. You will oversee day-to-day station management, develop new programming ideas, ensure compliance with broadcasting regulations, and nurture relationships with volunteers, community groups, and listeners.
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience in the radio or wider media industry - and will be able to share this knowledge to help develop the skills and confidence of our volunteer presenters. Experience within an educational setting, use of studio and outside broadcast equipment, as well as editing software such as Adobe Audition. Knowledge of scheduling and playout software such as G Selector and Zetta would be advantageous. You will have excellent organisational skills, a commitment to inclusivity, and the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
This is a fabulous opportunity to share your creativity, leadership, and passion for community broadcasting. If you'd like to shape the future of our station and amplify the voices of our community, we'd like to hear from you.
We particularly welcome applicants from black and minority ethnic candidates for this position, as they are underrepresented within the team.
