The role
As a Radioactive Waste Governance Manager, you\'ll have a role that\'s out of the ordinary. An opportunity to create a company wide radioactive waste management system, including implementation. This will provide the successful individual the opportunity for national bench marking and a seat on the waste management forums.

Day to day, you\'ll be making a difference for radioactive waste disposals, working with various operational teams across the Devonport site.

  • Defining the Business Management System (BMS) for radioactive waste for all site users
  • Communicating the ways of working to all stakeholders through a variety of communication tools
  • Conducting internal audits, as well as seeking areas of good practice to highlight to the wider business.
  • Benchmarking across the UK in defining the way work is conducted and implementing this best practice at the Devonport site
  • Using your radioactive waste experience to take the lead on engagements with our internal regulators.
Essential experience of the Radioactive Waste Governance Manager:
  • Operational Radioactive Waste Management experience
  • Experience of managing work in high hazard industries
  • Experience in team or stakeholder management
We offer hybrid working/part time/flexible working with the opportunity to work a 4 day week if required.

Qualifications for the Radioactive Waste Governance Manager:
  • Relevant STEM degree or SRP accreditation
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC and NNPPI security clearance for this role.
