As a
Lecturer of Rail Engineering
at
Eastchurch
, you will play a vital role in developing the next generation of skilled engineers. You will teach, train and assess students in a variety of learning environments, ensuring every learner receives a high-quality educational experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering engaging and practical lessons to a diverse range of learners
Training and assessing students to at least
Level 2 NVQ
standard in Rail Engineering
Providing support and guidance to help learners achieve their full potential
Leading on designated study programmes or courses, taking responsibility for the
design, delivery and evaluation
of the curriculum
Ensuring that lessons reflect current industry practices and standards
Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners
About the role:
Based primarily at our
Eastchurch Campus
, teaching community and Category D prisoners from
Standford Hill
on day release
Some delivery may also take place at our
Dover/ Shepherdswell
site

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification
