Overview


Join GB Railfreight and play a key role in upholding safety-critical standards and driving continuous improvement across our supply chain and maintenance operations. In this role you will conduct audits of maintenance locations and activities, monitor compliance and provide assurance that quality and suitability remain at the highest level.

Beyond auditing, you will manage the review and development of essential standards--such as Vehicle Maintenance and Overhaul Instructions--for our owned and leased traction and rolling stock assets. These standards will set the benchmark for supply chain performance and evolve through insights gained from audits, promoting best-in-class maintenance practices across the industry.

The salary on offer for this role is 55,000 -65,000 depending on experience. ?You must have a recognised

Main Responsibilities



Supporting the Asset Management department through the development and successful delivery of an engineering audit plan covering supplier systems, maintenance locations and product audits that meet business standards and assurance requirements. Reporting of results from audits completed to stakeholders, ensuring that actions are allocated and tracked to full and timely closure. Support the Safety Critical Supplier process by ensuring new and existing suppliers are processed; audits planned and carried out with results communicated to stakeholders with clear recommendations for their use, or otherwise; Managing the review and update of engineering standards; ensuring compliance to business and railway industry standards; Managing the control of identified documentation that supports maintenance activities on rail vehicles through the Document Control process; Processing Engineering Change requests through the Engineering Change process; Reporting on KPI's applicable to the effectiveness of the Rail Vehicle Maintenance Policy through the application of Safety Performance Monitoring techniques. Reviewing the KPI's applicable to the effectiveness of the Rail Vehicle Maintenance Policy so as to suggest improvements to support continuous improvement. Supporting with document control process for issuing of maintenance documentation to maintenance suppliers via GBRf document control

Skills & Experience



Essential



Minimum 12 months relevant Lead Auditor experience A full clean UK driving licence Relevant experience and knowledge of traction and rolling stock assets / engineering Railway geographical knowledge Knowledge & application of asset lifecycle management Strong stakeholder management experience Report Writing experience and excellent attention to detail Project management and/or experience in producing business cases

Desirable



Knowledge of Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) 2006 , as amended, and the requirements of Entities in Charge of Maintenance ECM
