Help Drive the Future of Aston Martin

At Aston Martin, we craft some of the most beautiful and technically advanced cars in the world. This journey starts long before our vehicles reach the road - it begins with our Research & Development team. We are now looking for an experienced R&D Logistics Manager to lead and evolve a critical area of our business: the global movement of parts, prototypes, and people.

If you're a methodical logistics expert with a passion for innovation, and you're ready to play a key role in bringing future Aston Martins to life, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Impact

In this role, you'll be the go-to logistics lead for R&D, working across the business to ensure vehicles, components, and engineering teams get where they need to be -- efficiently, compliantly, and cost-effectively.

You will lead the transport of prototype vehicles and parts (including ICE, hybrid, and BEV platforms) across key global regions such as the UK, EU, US, and China. You'll manage the full logistics compliance process -- from customs documentation and ATA carnets to air freight regulations and dangerous goods protocols -- while acting as the internal expert for cross-border logistics across non-production functions.

You'll also oversee global travel for engineering teams, create travel and logistics strategies that optimise costs and operations, and manage a substantial departmental budget of approximately 2-3 million. Leading a small but experienced team, you'll coach and equip them with tools and autonomy to streamline and elevate our logistics capability. Day to day, your influence will extend beyond R&D, supporting launches, events, and cross-functional business needs.

What You'll Bring

Essential:

Strong cross-border logistics expertise for vehicles and parts, including ICE/hybrid/BEV platforms Knowledge of international road freight, air freight, and customs compliance Hands-on experience with ATA carnets, import/export processes, and dangerous goods (EV components) A background in premium/luxury automotive, logistics, or related sectors (military, aerospace, specialist freight, etc.) Methodical data and reporting skills (budget tracking, compliance insight, forecasting) Proactive and open mindset - ready to learn, lead, and collaborate across departments Valid UK driving licence

Desirable:

Transport Manager CPC qualification Familiarity with tools such as UPS systems, Oracle, or AML systems

Why This Role?

This is a rare opportunity to step into a role that genuinely connects across nearly every part of the business. From press launch logistics to global test programs, you'll play a key role in shaping the journeys of both our vehicles and our teams. You'll be at the heart of a centralisation strategy for R&D operations, building new ways of working while making a visible impact on performance, efficiency, and collaboration.
