As an R&D Transformation Programme Manager, you will be responsible for definition, development and execution of transformation projects that build operational resilience and embed state of the art capabilities, aligned to the multi-year R&D operations transformation roadmap, to position the Johnson Matthey Teesside site as a flagship innovation facility of the future
The role:
You will help drive our goals by:Being responsible for the delivery of projects aligned to the R&D operations transformation roadmap
Being responsible for the formulation of overall programme plans, budget and resourcing determination and acquiring approval to proceed.
Defining the scope, outputs, and activities of projects and ensuring execution and delivery, managing changes to the scope or timings following appropriate governance and providing clear communication, insights and updates to stakeholders and sponsors, enabling the ability to make timely decisions.
Building, maintaining, and utilising a network of internal and external stakeholders ensuring that they contribute to the overall programme success.
Change management - identifying linkages to other projects, managing risks, issues, changes and resources and taking corrective actions when necessary to ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
Evaluating and closing projects, identifying and analysing lessons learned, ensuring completion of project objectives, and the realisation of deliverables.
Key skills/qualifications that will help you succeed in this role:Relevant scientific or engineering degree with a strong learning agility
Proven experience in the definition, development and execution of complex projects/programmes, which may have interdependencies
Experience and understanding of R&D operational environments, comprising multi-scale activities from micro to pilot scale in both catalyst synthesis and process technology development
Digitalisation and/or R&D automation experience (Desirable)
