Job Role and Responsibilities:

As an RE teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 Religion. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, understanding, and tolerance.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement the RE curriculum.
  • Participating in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
  • Promoting the school\'s values and ethos both inside and outside the classroom.
Essential Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.
  • A solid understanding of the RE curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging and informative lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Vetting Documents Required:

To ensure the safety and security of our client\'s students, the successful candidate will be required to provide the following vetting documents:
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Teaching qualifications and certificates.
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • References from previous employers.
